Twelve.
That's how many times he knocked.
I opened the door as he was halfway through the thirteenth.
"Hi!" he said as he saw my face.
"Hi?" I said, questioning his reason for being at my door.
He sensed my coldness.
"I'm from a couple of rooms down and.. well, I just came to say hi! I don't think we've met yet?"
He looked at me, his eyes staring into mine questioningly. He was waiting for me to respond with a normal "Oh hi! Come in!" or even "Hi, how are you!" but he got nothing.
I was too nervous.
"If this is bad timing or something, I ca--"
"No, no it's fine! I just.. you reminded me of someone, that's all. Come in."
My mind pieced together what my stomach couldn't handle.
It was him.

His arms were draped around him, holding him close, so close he could smell the scent of raspberry from his shower gel on his pale skin. He traced his fingers along his chest, around his nipples, curling his chest hair beneath his fingertips. He could see his eyes moving beneath his closed lids, his lashes brushing his lightly blushing cheeks. Dan reached up to trace his index finger along Phil's bottom lip, parting them as his hot breath brushed Dan's forehead.
Dan felt his lips move under his fingertips as Phil murmured groggily, "What are you doing Dan?"
"Nothing," came his soft reply and he reached up in the other's embrace to kiss him,

Sprinting through the pouring rain, Dan made it to his house breathless as he slammed the door behind him, doubling over while he gulped down air.
"Dan, is that you?" his mother called from the living room and he managed to wheeze out a yes, running up the stairs and to his room so he could avoid further questioning.
He collapsed upon his bed before realizing something was clutching in his hand. Looking over and opening up the wet plastic bag, his breath caught upon seeing the dark material of a shirt inside.
Sitting up, he took the fabric out of the bag and held it up before him, admiring the design before feeling a tear run down his chee

"It means nothing," he murmured as he played with Dan's hair. The brunette was asleep beside him on the sofa, their bodies tightly squished together on the leather seat, heat exchanging between them and their hearts beating loudly together. Dan's face was buried in Phil's chest and Phil was supporting Dan's weight with his arm wrapped around his middle so the brunette did not fall off the sofa.
Curling his brown locks around his fingers, Phil sighed as he kissed Dan's forehead and whispered, "It means everything to me."
